Fleurie known as the “Queen” of Beaujolais has two distinct areas : the northern most part of the appellation is located at the foot of the chapel La Madona which dominates the cru of Fleurie and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the area, where the soils are thin, acidic and dry. To the south of the village, land is richer and mixed with clay.
Deep brilliant in color with floral aromas of iris, rose and violet, it’s rich and elegant in flavor. The gobelet method (short pruning) leav ing 3 to 5 branches on each vine with a maximum of 10 bunches.
