Moulin à Vent

Moulin à VentMoulin à Vent is the oldest of the Beaujolais crus known as the “Lord of Beaujolais” and takes its name from ancient windmills set on the hill of Romanèche-Thorins.

The soil imparts an intense and rich flavor and bouquet not found in any other part of Beaujolais.
Deep ruby in color with purple reflections, this wine offers aromas of iris, roses, spices and ripe red fruits. Moulin à Vent wine may be consumed several years after bottling. It is well structured and the wine of great class.

The gobelet method (short pruning) is utilized leaving 3 to 5 branches on each vine with a maximum of 10 bunches.
