At the heart of the great Beaujolais’ appellations, the vineyard of Régnié extends over 1 500 acres on ancient plateaus with shallow soil rich in minerals.
Its color is bright cherry-red to red ruby and is very characteristic of the wines from the Beaujolais. Régnié is characterized by its powerful aromas and scents of berries, typical of the gamay. With just the right amounts of tannins, Régnié is a full bodied wine with an exuberant fragrance.
This cru is best consumed at a young age but develops more aromatic qualities between 3 and 5 years after bottling.
