Saint Amour located near the Juliénas is the most northern of the Beaujolais crus. Its vineyards are located almost exclusively in the area of Saône-et-Loire and with Chénas, this cru seems to bring out the famous attributes of Beaujolais.
This wine is softer than those of the Juliénas, shows less intensity of the Moulin à Vent, and shows luscious fruit and a flowery bouquet with smooth graceful finish.
The gobelet method (short pruning) is utilized leaving 3 to 5 branches on each vine with a maximum of 10 bunches.
